The Silver was presented to Bruce Felber, Traymore Marketing's' Creative Director at a formal awards banquet in Dallas, Texas on January 19, 2001 for his work on a media promotion for Six Flags Ohio. The promotional objective was to encourage media attendance at Six Flags Ohio's 'Media Day Event' prior to the 2000 season opening. Six Flags Ohio set a world record by adding four new coasters to one park in a single year. The award winning direct mail piece consisted of four drink coasters in the shape of vinyl records, with the roller coaster logo in the center. The theme "Six Flags Breaks New Record" was played out in a full color four-panel mailer, highlighting each new ride. "The mailer was well received by the media and guests. Many mentioned that they would hold on to it hoping it would become a collector's item someday!" reported Shannon D'Sidocy, Public Relations Manager for Six Flags Ohio. "Our attendance at this event compared to years past practically doubled! We were very impressed. Media coverage was significant, especially in the hard to reach outer markets" added D'Sidocy. The Golden Pyramid Awards are sponsored annually by the Promotional Products Association International to recognize the effective use of promotional products in business and institutional markets. This is the fourth award Traymore Marketing has received in the last several years.
